Background

The Maine Youth Golf Development Foundation is comprised of a growing list of accomplished adults who all in the State of Maine. Each of us agree that structured, well-designed development opportunities for Maine kids should be more prevalent and more readily accessible. Nothing could be more true about Maine Golf. This group is seeking to create a platform to bring a First Tee back to the State of Maine after a 10 year absence. We want to level the playing field for Maine kids. Anyone associated with Maine based athletics has heard something to the effect of "the kids from the cold weather states can't compete with the kids from the warm states".Nothing could be further from the truth. Maine kids just need a level playing field and they need the artificial ceiling lifted off their heads...
